More snow due as grit stocks fall

More snow to freeze Britain is exerting great pressure on the country’s already stretched resources of winter.

Forecasters warned that up to 20 inches of snow could settle in many places Sunday night and Monday, announcing a new round of travel disruption as the grain supplies continue to dwindle.

The Met Office has issued a severe weather warning for Wales, the East Midlands, Yorkshire and Humber and the north of England. There were also predictions that the rest of England is likely to see further falls of up to 10 cm on Sunday.
