The year has changed, the weather is starting to get better, there is a new family in our Whitehouse and fresh holidays are on the horizon. Thus, it is time to start thinking about it this year to take family holidays.
My son and his wife recently took a vacation to China to see the Great Wall. 14 days of his trip was pleasant and enjoyable learning experience, but included a price of several thousand dollars. The family package would cost much more.
It is not necessary to spend so much money to enjoy a holiday with the greatest pleasure and learning. As I said earlier there are still many, many places here in the U.S. offering excitement, adventure, romance and wonder. Places that are waiting for you to discover.
Places where you can enjoy one or two or the whole family and can only be seen on a driving trip. A trip by car or motor home.
While gas prices are still low, why not load the car and hit the road. As you drive west coast you can see some historic sites as the home of the "Spruce Goose", the wooden plane built by Howard Hughes. Located in the city of McMinnville Oregon.
There is also the famous Sea Aquarium in Newport Oregon and sand dunes Sandfest The event is held each year near the town of Coos Bay. A little further south and a little inland to the east can enjoy Shakespeare Festival in Ashland.
If you travel Highway I5, be sure to spend an hour or two in the "Enchanted Forest, located just 7 miles south of Salem. Roger Tofte, a man with big dreams and an eye toward the future, had the original idea of enchanted forest at the beginning of the 60s, and construction began in 1964. Over the years Enchanted Forest has grown into a fabulous piece of American know how. Do not miss it.
Another famous place in southern Oregon is "Trees of Mystery," whose entrance is guarded by a giant Paul Bunyan and Blue Ox "Babe." If you continue traveling south to enjoy the wonders of nature in the powerful California Redwood Forrest. Some of the taller trees and oldest in existence to live here.
But do not stop there, California has some of the most beautiful beaches on the coast and a boat from the lakes for the fisherman, sailor, walking, camping and those who just like to lie around and enjoy a quiet and peaceful night.
Another good stop is in San Francisco, both for shopping and entertainment. San Francisco offers some of the best shopping malls full of exotic and exciting. San Francisco is also the proud home of the famous "Fisherman" Whorf "
There are so many places you visit our country in this way that can be listed here. So take the vacation of your life and enjoy without breaking the bank.
