As the largest city in southern Netherlands, Eindhoven offers a wide range of facilities in the areas of shopping, nightlife and performing arts. Eindhoven has grown dramatically with the expansion of the multinational Philips. They began producing the bulbs in a factory that still exists today and now houses a museum. In recent years the city has also provided the setting for sporting events like cycling’s proTour time trial. The best places to visit

Some of the main areas to enjoy the nights are De Markt is at the center of the city. In good weather all the terraces are full. There are many great cafes, as well as the Holland Casino. Just across from Central Station is Staionskwartier which is the area of modern dance bar. If you want to go pub crawling Stratumseind then go to because there are more bars on this street than anywhere else in the country. If you are looking for a night more educated and more quiet, Bergen is a beautiful area of the oldest part of town.
